About Our Wines
Gouveia Vineyards offers 11 different wines. We offer 6 whites, 1 rosé, 3 reds, and 1 red dessert wine ranging from dry to sweet. We started planting in 1999 when we first bought the property and every year the number of vines have been growing.
We have 32 acres cultivated and 15 varietals, and every bottle includes a large or full percentage of our grapes. Since we are open 4 days a week year round, we do blend some wines that are harder to grow in this region with local grapes to last us the entire year. Though we produce 7,000 cases a year, we still adhere to traditional skills of Portuguese wine-making.
Our original vines were planted by hand, every vine is hand pruned, and we owe our gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers who help hand pick the grapes every year.
Visit our Wines Page to learn more about our varietals, their tasting notes.
